The past few weekends were fully packed for me, especially with late night activities. Midnight bowling sessions, midnight bak kut teh, overnight stays and more. Basically doing things that I believe I should have done when I was in my teens too. I was too strict on myself and afraid of asking my parents, throwing too much 'sense of responsibility' on my shoulders as I was the eldest among my siblings. Which all the more makes me treasure and enjoy such activities now.
Having the weekends to look forward to makes my week past by quicker and easier. I am definitely living my life now, and loving every single part of it.
Time to close off and start a new year. 2015 was filled with many important moments for me:
Graduation
First overseas trip with friends
First full-time job
First solo flight
Refine 21.2’s debut
Unforgettable Sri Lanka trip
Turning 21
Honestly I feel that this year passed by a little too quickly, probably because I was extremely busy throughout the whole year experiencing all these moments. I gained many experiences and precious memories this year, and grew a lot too through what I learned after stepping into society. 2015 will definitely be one of my favorite year, and of course I have to make sure 2016 will be as fulfilling and exciting.
Many things have been put in place for 2016, and I’m excited to start the new year. Working hard towards dreams is like a roller coaster ride, but I know I am well buckled up.
I have a bad habit of stocking up my pictures and post, causing lots of backlogs and posting after many months due to procrastination. This will be top of the list on what I have to work on in the coming new year, which I will start by posting about my trip to Sri Lanka and my 21st celebration.
Oh and… I only mentioned this to my family and friends, as well as briefly on my instagram but if you don't know yet, I am working on another site with my dear Amanda. Finding someone who’s like a sister, so similar yet different and working towards the same goal is difficult, but I found one. We have many things planned out, so do support us at Refine 21.2 too!
I have officially graduated with a diploma! It was a day filled with lots of happiness. My parents and aunts took time off to attend my graduation, and Axel woke up super early to attend too even though his session was the last while mine was the first. So thankful there were extra tickets on that day, otherwise only my parents will be able to attend. Not to forget Josephine who came to look for me with flowers she bought.
3 years passed by in a flash. I remember vividly how the first day of school was like. Poly is definitely my favorite school life so far. I've met many people, created lots of memories and laughed way too much.
It's also where I believe I grew a lot. I've learned with friendships, it's quality over quantity. I've learned people come and go in life, it's hard but I've learned how to live with it and move on. Most importantly, I've learned to surround myself with positive energy. It's important to stay away from negative people as they affect your mood and thinking, which affects you as a whole person. After I start to surround myself with mostly positive people, it definitely makes me a much happier person and have a positive attitude towards most things. During times when I'm starting to feel negative, the positive vibes my friends rub off on me helps me to look at the positive side again which is when things starts to get better again.
I miss school so much, especially now that I have stepped into the corporate life. I'm starting to see how "real" the world is. How to deal with things, people and problems are very different. However I believe what I'm going through now will help me in many ways, especially on how to survive in the "real" world.

Currently enjoying my last 2 weeks of holiday cause work is about to start soon. It's gonna be my first full-time job and well, I'm excited yet hoping time will pass by slower. Working full time means there won't be any school holiday for me to look forward to, the amount of worries will no longer be just "Can I do well for my exams?". I'm really dreading growing up as much as I'm excited for it haha. Now that I think about it, if I were to choose my diploma course again I'll probably make very different choices. I'll definitely exclude Psychology (What the hell was I thinking. Totally wasted 2 choices) and probably include fashion/design related courses. But what's done is done. I definitely do see the value in my course but it's just not of my interest. However who knows, maybe years down the road I end up working in the industry for my course and enjoy it.
I have never thought I will ever feel that I'm growing up too fast, but recently I'm having such thoughts. For the past 20 years I always go "I'm so excited for my future!", "I can't wait to grow up", and most importantly "I am ready to move into the next phase of my life!". However now that it's really happening, I'm scared.
Fear of the unknown. Since it's another phase of life, I do not know what to expect and I'm afraid I won't be prepared in what's coming my way.
Uncertainties. Making important decisions that affects your near future is a very scary thing to do. You will never know if your choice is right until the time comes. We speak to many people asking for advice, but all the conflicting advice given by different people makes it even more confusing.
After much thoughts I realized ultimately, nobody can give you the best or right advice. I believe being afraid and unsure is all part of growing up. Someone once told me a person can only "Follow your heart". And I agree. If your heart feels that this decision you're about to make is right, it's what should should do then just do it. You will never know until you do it. If it turns out to be not something you want it's alright, you will then know and work towards what you want instead. We learn through experiences. I always remind myself "No regrets".
Never regret the choices made, only regret the opportunities given which you didn't take.
