It's really important to not limit yourself to anything. Don't hold back just because of the possible negative comments you may get. Don't stop yourself from exploring and trying out different things just because of how people who are not important at all judge you. 

You can't have everybody loving you, can't have everybody agreeing with what you do, can't have everybody supporting what you choose. But there will be at least 1 person who sees and understand from your point of view. You will have people that advice you even if they don't support you. Not everyone will judge and give negative comments about you.

Silence is the best response, but stand up for yourself when you have to.

Don't let people who don't matter take control over your mind.
